We booked a 6-hour trip with Bear Cut Bandit Charters for a group of five during a bachelor trip, and it ended up being one of the highlights of the entire weekend. We had an awesome time from start to finish. Our captain knew exactly what he was doing and kept us on fish. We ended up bringing in around 25 snapper and 3 blackfin tuna, so there was definitely no shortage of action. He was easygoing, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone in the group had a good time, regardless of experience. If you’re in the Miami area and looking for a fishing charter, I’d absolutely recommend these guys. Great experience, great fishing, and we’d book with them again without hesitation.

We are ocean fishing novices and Captain Alex was patient and encouraging with my kids. Within 30 minutes of reaching our first fishing location my son hooked and landed a sail fish. He never stopped trying different tactics and different areas to get everyone in our party of 5 hooked on!!! We all caught fish. Bonita, black tuna, yellow jacks, red and yellow snaper, and a strawberry grouper. Some we were able to keep some we had to throw back. At the end of the trip Captain Alex filleted fish, for us and even made sashimi for us with the black tuna! couldn’t have asked for a better day highly recommend Captain Alex at Bearcut Bandit Charters!!!

Great trip and Capt. Alek knows secrets! We started at 0700 with a trip down the beautiful Miami River. Picked up some live bait from a buddy of the Captain's outside Treasure Island. The Captain then put us on a spot that produced 30+ yellowtail snapper, 3 mackerel (1 keeper), and a bonita. We got a minimum of one bite per bait. Sometimes multiple bites per bait. Using mid-range spinning gear, it was non-stop action. Really, a perfect way to spend any morning. The Captain has a gorgeous center console that is perfect with this kind of trip. He is cordial, experienced, attentive, and focused on you having tight lines. We talked about many other fishing opportunities there in the Miami area and Capt. Alek would definitely be our go-to guy for exploring them. Highly recommend.

Stellar experience with Alek! He knows his stuff and made sure we had a good time. The Catch & Cook experience was awesome. Such a treat to be able to eat your catch within an hour of having caught it.

Captain Alek was excellent! We had a great time catching tons of fish, and being able to eat them for lunch was an added bonus. His knowledge of the local waterway is incredible, and we can’t wait for our next time in Miami!
